BIOGRAPHY

Sung Hoon Park (b. 2001, Seoul, South Korea) is an artist and curator based in London, UK. His work explores themes of life and death, focusing on the uncertain and imperfect nature of human existence. Through material experimentation, he approaches his work as an accumulation of events unfolding over time, allowing materials to behave on their own. Cracks, delicate surfaces, irregular textures, and the tension between order and imperfection emerge as metaphors for the fragility and transience of life.

His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Maru Art Center (Seoul), Janet Oh Gallery (Seoul), Zhou B Art Center (Chicago), and SAIC Galleries (Chicago). He has also participated in major art fairs such as the Blanc Bleu Hotel Art Fair in Seoul and the LA Art Show with CXU Gallery. In addition to his artistic practice, Sung Hoon has curated exhibitions including Connection (;) at OH Art Foundation and Chimera at Zhou B Art Center. Sung Hoon received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts at the Royal College of Art, London.

Painting is a pursuit in which imperfect beings use imperfect means to chase their ideals.
